Where ‘Be The Plot’ Began!
The story behind the storyteller

Hey there, I’m Prerna – a writer, reader, and a lifelong storyteller.
And this space was born out of my love for stories; not just the ones we read, but the ones we live.
A warm welcome to everyone who want to be a part of this world I created. Feel at home as you get to know my brain baby :-
How ‘Be The Plot’ Came To Life –
Started Writing
I started writing when I was in 8th grade. My parents had me enrolled in every English course known to human, so naturally, writing piqued my interest like nothing ever could again.
Paused
As the societal pressure of doing good in studies, taking a STEM field grew on me, writing took a back seat. It became a hobby pursued every now and then rather than something I did everyday.
Resumed
It took a great deal of corporate burnout (less than 3 months) for me to realise that it was only writing that could make me happy again. And so began the journey of me re-finding my love for writing.
The Start
When I started reading and writing again, I realised that there MUST be others just like me. Who have lost hope, lost their spark, and want to reignite it. I wanted to provide the help, or even just the reassurance that ‘you’re not alone’, that I so desperately needed.
Be The Plot
Be The Plot started as a quiet little corner of the internet where I could find my way back to writing after losing touch with it for a while. I wanted a space that wasn’t about perfection, but about progress. About helping writers, readers, and dreamers tell their own stories and own them.
What ‘Be The Plot’ Is About –
The Bigger Picture
My vision for Be The Plot is to create a digital home for writers, readers, and everyone who takes life a little more poetically, like I do. A place that reminds you that your story is still unfolding. Whether you’re chasing inspiration, building consistency, or just trying to feel less alone in your creative chaos, I want everyone to know that this is your space too.
“Because every story – including yours – deserved to be told.”
A little more about me
- I have a story idea in my head at ANY point of the day. Will it see the light of day? I can’t tell.
- Every now and then I’m thinking of a psychological dilemma that does not concern me in any way whatsoever.
- I HATE over-analysing movies. I can love an acclaimed “crappy” movie and absolutely hate a blockbuster, and I’d give no reasons why.
- I started ‘Be The Plot’ because I believe anyone can be the main character of their story by just choosing to be one.
